Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Club is a Public, 27 hole golf course facility located in Moreno Valley, California. The facility has three (3) 9-hole golf courses, The Lake, Valley, and Mountain. These 9 hole courses can be combined in three different combinations of 18 hole golf. Each of the three nines has a distinct feel.
The course first opened for play in 1988. The course architect was Pete Dye.
The Mountain nine is the showpiece of the 3 Nines. The course offers some spectacular views and memorable holes. The layout winds through the hills and boulders. The signature hole is #7, a par-3 with an "island" green. No, the green isn't surrounded by water, the elevated green sits on a desert hillside surrounded by a rocky sandy desert. It's also the highest part of the course, allowing great views of the valley.
The Valley nine is relatively flat. Several greens are on the edge of a big pond with Dye's traditional railroad tie planking along the edges of the water. A small ravine crosses through the rest of the holes define the layout of the Valley Nine.
The Lake Nine is enjoyable. It's not obvious why this nine is named The Lake Nine. Yes, of the 3 Nines it's the closest to Lake Perris Reservoir, but you can't even see the Lake. In fact, water only comes into play on one hole.

The Mountain course is always a pleasure to play. My complaints are with the Valley course. We should not even be playing it in the condition it is in, however, when we requested to play Lakes, we were discouraged to do it. There were not many people out at all and could not understand why we weren't allowed to play a better conditioned course. Two of us played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours, so it wasn't crowded.

I had a good round albeit I dont understand why the Lakes Course has no water and the Valley course has 3 holes around a lake where water also comes into play on #8. Moutain course is awesome!!

Played Mountain Valley and Lake Valley in tournament. Slow play but I played one of my best rounds. Greens were like carpet, fairways a little hard but well groomed. Took first place.

We hold our 1st tournament of the year here; take good care of us. Course is challenging. Rains/flooding did some damage, but did not impact fairways or greens. We're going back next year.

The "Ranch" has been up and down over the years and for the past years it has been more up than down. The management has really worked to keep the course in great shape and affordable. Great layout, fun and challenging. Former site of Nike (now Nationwide) tour event. Pete Dye layout with great views. Never get tired of playing any of the three nines.

Greens are always fast and in decent conditions. It's quite challenging if you are not familiar with the course layout. The twilight rate is quite reasonable.

Nice layout. Homes along the course are not really in play, not a distraction.

This use to be a Gem, but new owners are letting it go. No grass in Fairways, Lots of 5-some's, no Marshall to keep them moving, some Staff in pro shop act like they are doing you a favor.
